INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
2024 Storefront Guidelines
The storefront signup will be available starting Monday, April 1st so I just wanted to give a little info, reminders, and tips.
I know a lot of people are anxious to get started and I totally get it! Unfortunately since COVID, storefronts are harder and harder to secure. Most stores in the area no longer allow local schools and churches to set up at their doors. Most only allow Salvation Army, Girl/Boy Scouts and some bigger organizations that go through the corporate level. I have called every single medium and large store that would have sufficient foot travel in the surrounding area. I do it every year in hopes that maybe there is a change but unfortunately, as of now, the 3 local Tractor Supply and Ace Hardware are the only ones that will allow it.I am still working on getting a few more hopefully. We will have 4 weeks of slots now and then, if there is the need, I will have more in August. Please take advantage of the slots when we have them.
We are doing the signups a little differently this year. On April 1st each family will have a week to sign up for 2 slots. On April 8th you will be allowed to sign up for 1 more slot in addition to your first 2. On April 15th any slots that are still available are open for people to sign up for as many as they would like regardless of how many they have already signed up for. This will hopefully give everyone an equal opportunity and help people plan their schedules better. A slot consists of 4 hours. If smaller families with younger children can only do 2 hours they can split the slot themselves with another family.
We always want to give a good impression so make sure your children are neat and tidy, preferable in their uniform or Assumption attire. Please be respectful to the business's property and patrons. Children will need to approach customers as they walk in or out as most people won't come up to the table. It is very important to have the table and tablecloth/signage as it makes us look more professional. If you are the first person of the day you are required to pick these items up and if you are the last of the day you have to return them for the next days shifts. All of the supplies will be kept in the cry room.
If you have any questions or cancel, please give me a call. Maria Kunkel 859 801 9158
